What Is OBT?
OBT stands for Obedience Before Treasure.
It is rooted in a simple but life-defining truth found in Matthew 6:33:
"Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
This verse is not just a message. It is a direction.
The world tells us to seek success, status, security, and recognition. But Scripture calls us to seek the Kingdom first, trusting that everything we truly need is already in God's hands.
OBT exists as a reminder to keep your priorities aligned with what is eternal, not temporary.
Our Foundation
OBT was originally founded as Obsession Beats Talent. The original message reflected discipline, built on the belief that consistent effort could outpace natural ability. It represented commitment, growth, and the willingness to push beyond comfort.
But over time, God revealed something deeper.
Discipline alone is not the goal. Success alone is not the destination. Even the greatest effort is empty if it is not aligned with the will of God. Scripture makes it clear that life is not about building ourselves, but about surrendering to Him.
Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
This truth reshaped everything.
It shifted the focus away from pursuing personal achievement and toward pursuing obedience to God. It changed the meaning of the brand from a symbol of self-driven ambition to a reminder to live in surrender to Jesus Christ, who alone is the source of life, purpose, and salvation.
OBT now stands for Obedience Before Treasure because obedience to God comes before anything this world can offer. No success, possession, or recognition has value apart from Him.

Our Mission
Our mission is to help people seek the Kingdom first in both belief and daily life.
OBT exists to create more than clothing. It exists to provide reminders, resources, and direction for those who desire to stay aligned with God in a world full of distraction.
Through our platform, we provide access to faith centered resources, guidance, and opportunities for prayer. These are designed to support spiritual growth, encourage obedience, and help people remain grounded in what is eternal.
This mission also extends beyond what we create.
For every item sold, $1 is donated to the Tim Tebow Foundation to help serve vulnerable children, protect the innocent, and care for those in need around the world.
This reflects the foundation of Matthew 6:33. To seek the Kingdom first not only in words, but through action.
OBT exists to honor God, serve others, and remind people where their true treasure is found.

Chance Lasher
It began with a decision to pursue discipline, starting with the body. Chance committed himself to fitness, driven by the desire to grow stronger and push beyond his limits. What began as a pursuit of physical strength became the foundation for something greater.
Through that season, Obsession Beats Talent was established, representing discipline, consistency, and perseverance. But over time, God revealed a deeper truth. Discipline alone is not the purpose, and strength alone is not the goal. True life is found in obedience to Him.
Through this conviction, the new name was established. Obedience Before Treasure reflects the truth that obedience to God comes before anything this world can offer, just as Jesus Christ commands in Matthew 6:33.

Josh’s journey into photography and videography began in childhood, creating stop-motion films in his basement. At age 12, he began formal photography classes, and at 18, he established his multi-media company, JD Productions. Creating content is not just a skill, but a calling God placed on his life. An unexpected encounter with Chance at the gym in March of 2023, both sharing a background in fitness, became a defining moment that strengthened his commitment to his work and played a role in the foundation of what OBT would become.
